This is Max. His farts stink just like all dogs farts stink. I know the obvious way to answer this question but does anyone here know if I were to have the same diet as him would I be as pongy as he is? I'm pretty sure we have a different gut biome. 20250705_162721.JPG

When all is said and done though, maybe it could be an improvement, Newcastle Brown and a good curry do not make me popular.

Yes. I am aware of the state of the decor. I'm already on it. DPC, roof and render all failed. It's been emotional.

Raw feeding might help.

Our Bella doesn't smell inside or out.

Try him on a grain free diet? Grains aren’t good for dogs.

Raw fed lab here.

Zero farts. No.2s are always 10/10

We have quite a few foster dogs come through. Can't say any are particularly stinky. They get good quality dry food.

We’ve inadvertently done that experiment with different species. Our dog is generally fart free unless she’s managed to snaffle the cat’s food - then all hell breaks loose. Edit: and the cats are smell free.

If you know any Germans he could be a useful prop in helping them to understand the wonderful world of British sense of humour

A rare stinky fart here.

Big bakes keep her non smelly and lovely pickupable poos with no real stink to them.

Technically i suppose they are actually a raw diet.

Processed treats make her worse gut wise.

This. And she's fit as a butcher's dog.

This is true . Bella loves apples, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumber but doesn't do well with grains/cereal.

Ours is on raw and has wonderful turds and never farts. But he also gets topside of beef if he asks nicely. Only problem is we have to brush his teeth as raw plays havoc with plaque build up. So his breath stinks instead if you don’t keep on top of it.

Very true. Ours has also been known to raid the cat litter tray for some special crunchy treats. You can also tell when she’s been at the horse poo because it comes out almost as fast as it goes in - cue lots of fidgeting to let us know that she really needs to go out. She is lovely, but also bonkers (Patterdale-Spaniel cross) and capable of being utterly gross.

Glad someone posted up the ‘my dog has no nose…’ joke - saves me having to!

Quality dry dog food here, and no nasty farts (unless they've been eating horse poop). As above we avoid dog food with grain as an ingredient, as we found it tends to give our dogs stomach issues.

Yet another raw fed labrador household. Zero farts, easy to deal with turds, no anal gland issues, very happy healthy dogs.
