Just listening to Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's White Lines.

Forgotten how good it was, not heard it for years but I still know all the words.

What's your best rediscovered track/album from your younger days?

Album? A tricky one. I think "The Stone Roses" from all of the ones that I bought back then.

Best Single? Impossible to say, but I'd say that "Injected with a Poison" by Praga Khan (the Baby Doc remix) is in with a shout at the title.

Don't know about best, but an album that instantly takes me back is Enema of the State by Blink 182

Best? mclusky Do Dallas, probably

...they put the hard in hardcore, don't you know.

White Lines - love it too, on my Spotify playlist, takes me back to 6th Form parties.

Other stuff from the same time - Liberator (Spear of Destiny), Under a Blood Red Sky, Simple Minds 'Waterfront'...

The very first rock album I ever listened to; borrowed it from Bob Harding, a classmate. Changed my perception about what music could sound like forever.
Before that, Beatles/Stones/Jethro Tull, other stuff played on the radio.
And the very earliest song I can remember hearing:

I guess I must have been three or four, judging by the date of that film.
I have an MP3 of it on my phone, to my absolute delight.

My chronology is a bit mixed up cuase I have 3 older siblings so stuff that I remember from my youth like David Bowie's Young Americans was released when I was a 5yo!
Equally it is full of stuff like Devo and the Ramones!

above is the whole Devo album for you aural pleasure (or not) 😀

This started a long love of Hip Hop and a bit of a closet Metal fan too.

Until I heard this, which kicked off a long running Indie period.
