I have a large library of mp3 albums on my PC .Is there a way of storing them in a cloud so that I can access and play them from an android mobile phone? Any advice or help would be appreciated thanks.

Google music does exactly that, for nowt.
+1 for Google music. Works perfectly with Sonos as well should you have one.
Keep in mind that no signal = no music! and there's almost certainly a monthly cost attached once you get over around five gig.
Plex?
Google Play is 20,000 tracks, Max 300mb per track for free.
Connection is needed but the app lets you 'pin' tracks for offline use.
Works very well with Android.
Another thumbs up for Google Music. Just made the swap from Spotify and I'm impressed so far. The fact I can upload all the various mp3 odds & sods that appear on my hard drive and nowhere else then stream them was a clincher, as was the fact that it works flawlessly over my workplace firewall/network restrictions.
