Myself and Mrs SB are cycling from Munich to Venice this summer and I'm looking to the STW hivemind for hotel recommendations near the main railway station that have secure bike storage.

Thanks in advance

All I can add is don't expect it to be cheap. Me and the Mrs needed to overnight in Munich when arriving by train one evening and leaving by train early the next day. The only thing we could find at a reasonable price was a VERY basic 2* place a 15 minute tube ride away from the station.

Sheraton West Park has bike storage but is a bit spendy.

I like the Alpen (quiet street) near the station when I stay in Munich http://www.alpenhotel-muenchen.de/?lang=en, The Eden Wolff and the Sofitel Bayerpost both next to the station are nice but probably quite a lot more expensive.

ArtHotel, it's maybe 5 mins from the hotel, pretty basic but good value, clean and worth a look. I have a recollection that they have bike storage too. It's often full of stag do's but don't be put off, it's one of the quietest hotels I've stayed at.

what night you staying?
We stayed at the Airport Hilton on our way to ski holiday. It was ridiculously cheap, less than £100 for four of us.

You arriving by train though...?

Last time in Munich we stayed at the Zimmer Frei. We just turned up on spec but fortunately there were rooms free.

The Holiday Inn down by the river is usually pretty well priced (for Munich). Probably about 5 mins ride from the station. No idea if it has bike storage though...

Arriving into the airport and then getting the train in to the city centre arriving around half nine on the Friday night. So was hoping to find somewhere fairly close by.

I've stayed in a hotel in Arnulf Strasse before but cannot remember bike storage and would be reluctant to leave them chained up outside given the location.
