What do you use to get felt tip pen / dry board marker marks out of school uniforms?
The child's tears as you smash their favourite toy with a hammer. You only have to worry about it happening the once that way 😉
Tbh unless it's rude we've tended just to keep washing the thing and them wearing it as normal. It fades eventually
Ace bleach? - not tried it on marker pen but it does work on chewing gum
Vanish bar? Seems to work on most of the stuff Miss RBIT comes home from nursery covered in; also got a load of chainring grease out of a white shirt of mine (don't ask).
Other thought is that permanent marker is often alcohol-soluble.

wd40? i have never tried it on clothes though...
I have tried it on clothes. You have to wash the WD40 out in the wash but that's easy.
Washing up liquid gets quite a few things out (bike grease etc.)
Alcohol hand gel rubbed in wit_a toothbrush also worth a try (gets out dried on blood).
For hard surfaces, eg whiteboards, the best way to remove permanent marker is to go over the ink with a non-permanent marker; the solvent breaks down both sets of ink. For clothes, I think I'd want to experiment on something sacrificial first. (-:
For many stains, washing in cold water is the way (it's The way to get blood out); hot water 'fixes' the stain.
My wife uses washing up liquid on all stains and most of the time it works!
Vodka, have a couple and forget about it
Washing up liquid with a bit of sugar in it.
It would be like a poor man's Swarfega.
