Went out this morning into the chilterns. Lovely day decided to ride the route I did a short while back when it was frozen.

Mistake !

Pure unadulterated wet clay - Wooagghhhh !

Never ridden anything like it. Spent entire sections just counter steering to stay on, losing both front and back and for the first time ever on a down hill spent some time facing at 90 degrees to the direction of travel as the back threatened to overtake the front - absolute blast even if I did make some through bush detours on the way down.

FWIW I had full on mud tyres on (Bonty X-Mud) I can't even imagine what would have happened on anything less appropriate.

Can't be the only one skating my way round today - lets hear your traction deficient moments....

Pym

Dryest ride for 4 months. Bit shorter than I'd hoped, but dry and grippy. Ace!

certainly not dry here. 2 days of basically sloppy mud, slushy snow, and when it was a bit drier like riding on plasticene.

A bit less I'd say. Cut over the Cotswolds, wazz round Gloucester and there you go.
