i see tonnes of options on the likes of amazon for 20 euros, which is tempting.
but of course there are the inevitable bad reports (and photos!) of them breaking immediately..

it owuld be great to have a sony or samsung etc, but the price is a lot more than 20 euros.

can anyone suggest a middle ground for up to 40 quid, but from some sort of brand perhaps where i can at least hope for some sort of quality.?

hoping it'll last long enough so that i can blag it off her when she eventuallly gets a phone : )

thanks

I'd say Sandisk Clip as well, the Sport Plus is waterproof and Bluetooth compatible so compatible with any speakers or such you have lying about (of course a 3.5mm jack achieves this as well). With Rockbox firmware file options open up as well (assuming you care).
