Whether you like him or not they're 27 hours in and have made £425,000 for Comic Relief so far.
Well done to them I say.
+1
been really entertaining to watch and its nice not to have to turn the radio off at 10 when mini-whiley comes on the radio. even made scot mill's show worth keeping on!
well done to them, mrsconsequence has been awake the whole time with man-flu and its kept her entertained so i dont have to, worth donating to for that reason alone 🙂
Amazingly it actually makes quite interesting watching. I suspect it might be like watching a slow motion car crash if they go for 50 hours (which I think they will).
They'll top £500k in the next hour and I think they 'might even get £1m if they go for the world record.......... which would be a brilliant result
agreed, definitely interesting watching. dave looks like he's struggling at the moment that's for sure
I thought he spat his dummy a while back??
27 hours is good going, it's the quantity not the quality that counts.
nope, typical media reaction to something they didnt actually listen to properly. still there, still going strong 🙂
Moyles longest ever radio show
What the hell has the UK done to deserve that? And collectively, how much did listeners raise for putting up with him for so long?
Phew, managed to miss every second of that torture.
I bet he'd make more money if he did a sponsored silence for a year. I'd sponsor him for that.
Well I think he's quite funny, but then again I don't like PJHarvey, wear sandles or think that VAG cars are in any way cool.
He has to be applauded for it, it's a long time to stay awake ignoring whether you like him or not.
The "red button" coverage is strangely addictive as well, no one seems to be doing anything but you still can't help but watch.
Moyles longest ever radio show
really? I'm sure I spent a week listening to one the other morning
Fair play to him it's a good effort. Shame he's such an insufferable knob that I find 30secs of him too much.
They've broken half a million now. I reckon they'll double that.
They had Jon Culshaw on earlier, who was really on form. Enjoyed that.
I suspect he was referring to her choones
I'd give him £1000 if he could have done the whole thing without saying "REEEEALLY?????"
REALLY GETS ON MY TITS!!!
Well I like PJ Harvey and vag. I wonder if the two could be combined...
That's nothing, I haven't been listening to him for 37 years!
Well I think he's quite funny, but then again I don't like PJHarvey, wear sandles or think that VAG cars are in any way cool.
Thanks for that fascinating insight, were youtrying to make a point of some sort though?
Well I think he's quite funny, but then again I don't like PJHarvey, wear sandles or think that VAG cars are in any way cool.
As a PJ Harvey (especially "Stories from the city...") and Chris Moyles fan, i'm also slightly puzzled. After all, you hardly listen to the Chris Moyles show for the music.
Oh, I'd quite like a Fabia VRS too.
After all, you hardly listen to the Chris Moyles show for the music.
Ironically, he's actually quite a good way to make chartfactor tripe sound listenable - however bad the music may be, it's always going to be infinitely better than his moronic noise
So 37 hours done and £1 million raised so far - regardless of what you may think of him, this is brilliant (I see The One Show have managed to raise £250k in two weeks or something).
Seems like they're going through to 10;30 for the world record (and £1.5m?)
I thought the world record was like 150 hours or something mental?
Either way, I fully expect him to still be there tomorrow morning.
Just stuck him on the "red button", gotta say, he doesn't look like someone who's been at work for day and a half.
Also,
Isn't One Extra utter gash? Dear me. Reminds me of Amiga NoiseTracker mods.
I used to love my Amiga. It still works.
Should've got an ST.
etc.
I like the bloke, though stopped listening to the show as the music was getting worse (Radio 1 playlist cr@p)At least they are playing some decent tunes now they've teamed up with 1Xtra (that Nero tune is superb)
Loving watching this on the Red Button, awesome achievement, i'd be asleep in a corner by now.
Well I think he's quite funny, but then again I don't like PJHarvey, wear sandles or think that VAG cars are in any way cool.
I've been trying to work out what point that quote was trying to make, and I still haven't come a y closer to making any kind of rational connection between Peej, sandals and VAG cars.
While I'm glad they've raised so much money, I really couldn't have listened to any of that, Moyles makes me homicidal.
I think he was trying to say that the typical stwer will not be the type of person to listen to him, I'd agree
Some more good tunes now with Jaymo and Andy George
Please define typical stwer, I feel somewhat an outsider now as I listen to him most mornings!!
I've been catching the odd hour when driving a long commute and I reckon Chris and Dave are doing a brilliant job. Dave is really loosing his voice now but apparently Chris has stood up for the whole time on air so far. I really hope they get to the 52hr target. Moyles is a mouthy bugger but I happen to quite like the chap mostly, and you can't knock him for not working hard....
I applaud the charity stuff but I can't stand listening to him.
Anyone else find the red button feed fascinating? I like Moyles, and I like the music, but its something about the watching how they work, when normally they're just voices thats strangely addictive to watch.

I like him too and listen most mornings once the first politician comes on Radio 4. The red button has been oddly addictive.
I have not listened to him before - but am finding this very compelling. I think they are all coming across very well, and seem genuinely humbled with the response.
Good on 'em I reckon.
Red button viewing is really addictive. Hope they make their target.
40+ hours at work and doing well I'd say.... 40+ hours standing up and doing your job!
Proper trooper and doing what celebrities should do, use their fame to help others.
100% Superstar!
I'm amazed at how business like his actions are while broadcasting, he sound like he's just ducking around on the radio, but is very professional when you actually see it on the RB.
I think he is doing a fantastic thing for charity and I actually quite enjoy his shows, sometimes a bit much at 7am to be honest but everyone to their own, but this you have to applaud! And yes the red button is irrisistable. Like Comedy Dave I'm off to bed, bet they're still going tomorrow for their breakfast show. Fair play to them and if anyone wants to criticise, lets show more reasons than he's a T**T
47hrs +...and the amount raised is amazing..
Dave just mentioned his 6 minute nap didn't help as all it did was make his contact lenses sting.
Contact lenses?!! I struggle to wear them for more than 12 hours, even continuous wear that can be slept in would dry your eyes when staying awake! He obviously hates wearing glasses when on 'tv'!
Sounds as lame as big brother - same captive audience I suppose. He's on my top 10 irritating people list do not for me I'm afraid. I also love vag cars, and smile to myself whilst I drive past inferior the french Vehicles awaiting recovery.*
*yes they're probably not all that bad, but mud sticks.

POSTED 23 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST
and your point is?
forget that you are on STW for a minute, and think of what they are actually raising money for..
+1 Scotia!!! Tuned in again, they are starting to slur big time, comedy daves daughter just arrived, he's a broken man!!!
Sounds as lame as big brother - same captive audience I suppose
That may well be true but these very people have coughed up the best part of £1.5m so good for them I say.
Just managed to tune in with 50s left till the broke the WR, and donated. Good on them I say (even if I don't really like Moyles that much).
record broken, still going on through to half 10. well done to them 🙂
record broken
Well we know what he'll be talking about for the next year! Luckily I don't listen to him anymore!
Donation made, I hope Chris and the team are donating some of their wages made from working the extra 50 hours.
Well I reckon 50hrs has gotta be worth £5, so I've just donated.
Brilliant job! 😀
£1.8m!
Millie - they're not getting paid.
Regardless of if you like him or not, theyve raised over £1.8million for comic relief, that outstanding!
IIRC they made it quite clear early on in the show that they're not getting paid any extra for the show...
not keen on the fella at all,
but thats a fanatstic achievement
Milkie - they're not getting paid.
I thought the behind the scenes team were getting paid for it? I realise the main team, Chris, Dave, Aled were not getting paid, as the papers made a fuss about it so they said they would not get paid for it.
Who gives a t0ss if they're getting paid....... they're going to raise £2million!
I'm amazed, after 50 hours he still sounds like he does on a normal morning (whatever that means).
LOL at all the Moyles 'haters' - get a life, you sound just like my 8 year old daughters...
"She did it, not me"
"No I didn't..... liar"
"I hate you""
"I hate you more"
"Shall we go and play?"
"Yeah, come on"
£1.8!?!?!
Fek me, that's nearly £500,000 since I got up!!!!
Some idiots on here. He has raised £1.8M for charity and didn't he climb a mountain for charity last year too. A lot more than the hating idiots on here are doing I'm sure.
Haha...... Fearne Cotton going to do the last 20 mins of the show in in her swimming costume - I bet she's high maintenance but who cares.....
I feel a tearful end to it all! Good on them all!!!
radio1 site has crashed with everyone trying to watch the streaming of cotton in a bikini
That is funny.
I thought the behind the scenes team were getting paid for it? I realise the main team, Chris, Dave, Aled were not getting paid, as the papers made a fuss about it so they said they would not get paid for it.
Most are doing their jobs as usual (e.g. producing, presenting, supporting their shows as they would even without the marathon show), so why shouldn't they get paid? I suspect they have all donated to comic relief and put in extra (unpaid) hours to make it a success.
Nearly £2.5million!!
£2.4 million!
WooHoo!
2.4million!
Amazing.
Think I've got something in my eye.
Please stop chopping onions near me.
well after watching and lsitening to about 35-40 hours of the show (mrsconsequence has watched even more.. prob about 45 hours) i dont get to hear or listen to the last 30 minutes cos of all the perves crashing the radio1 site.
good to hear they've done 2.4million.
more respect for them than the STW haters right now 8)
So, admit it then, who's had a perv at Fearne?
God bless the Red Button 🙂
yeah well done and all that .. but the guy is still a massive dong.
comedy dave can stick around though.
I applaud his money raising efforts - just can't stand the self-rightous chump.
And the mountain climbing was a frickin' joke. no doubt, a huge amount of time and money was involved to get a load of 'celebrities' half way around the world to raise money. At least this year the overheads will be less.
Amazing.
Pure Awesomeness...
God bless the Red Button
's a serious tattoo she's got there.
And the mountain climbing was a frickin' joke
I thought that celebrity JOGLE run was a joke as well... all taking turns to do a 2 hour ride then spend the rest of the time getting chauffeured around in a winnebago, crying about how hard it is.

Yeah. Loads of people who didn't have to raised a bundle of cash for charity. The bastards.
🙄
So, admit it then, who's had a perv at Fearne?
No, not me.... no no no no no
Didn't look half bad.... so I'm told 😀

Are you going to say the same about the desert trek they did this year?
Non of the money to actually get the people out the the Mountain, and the desert, came from the charities pocket. This was mentioned at the start of both events.
And because its the 'famous' people doing it, it inspires much much more people to then donate.. So i think calling it a Joke, is abit of a joke in itself to be honest.
Just my opinion though..
There are times when I think that some of the people on here are absolute idiots.
Whether you like him or not, Moyles has just raised £2.4 million for a charity, £2.4 million, that is a huge amount of money. So please, just for today, can we ignore whether you like him or not, ignore how much he earns, ignore whether you like radio 1 or not, and just appaud the guy.
What he has done is awesome, amazing, brilliant. He and Dave deserve a huge amount of credit, as do the support staff around him. Well done Chris and Dave, I take my hat off to you.
