[Closed] Mower running too quickly - how to fix?

I recently changed the governor springs on my B&S mower as it was running slowly and almost stalling. I put new springs on and it seems to be running okay but just TOO quickly - even in the slowest setting it is running too fast (from new, I would always switch it too the fast setting once warmed up). Are the springs simply too 'springy' and need to loosen off or is there a way I can manually adjust the run speed? I can't seem to find anything too adjust.

Thank you 🙏

My mountfield died today aged 15 RIP Bstard the mower, I've ordered a Honda to replace it.

I just want a mower that goes at the same speed I do, an old-fashioned cylinder jobbie. For the amount of grass I have, it’s not worth the hassle of digging out the old hover one.
I’m hoping second-hand shops and boot sales will open up properly so I can find one cheap that just needs sharpening.
