(or, thinly-veiled paging thread for mikey74)

You leave on Sunday? Where are you moving to? What job will you be doing? What are you most excited/anxious about?

Go on. If you're willing, tell us about the move. I'm genuinely interested.

Sorry, just saw this. I will be working in Vancouver as an architectural technician, but, initially, living in Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge area with friends. I will then consider where best to live after I've tested the water.

TBH I am not really anxious about moving countries, other than leaving friends and family behind. Fortunately, I already have a good network of friends out there, which will help ease things a bit; I am more anxious about the job and working in a different system.

Other than the awesome biking and scenery, I am most excited about living somewhere different for the first time in about 30 years.

My uncle moved to vancouver and never came back. Having seen his lifestyle i can see why, yatch, nice house, german sports car. I think if he d stayed in the uk i doubt he would have the lifestyle. Good luck to him, saw the opportunity and went for it.
