I’m looking at having my combi boiler moved about 5 metres away from its current location (currently it is restricting space in the porch so looking at moving to the bathroom behind the toilet) The toilet is offset from wall so plenty of room there, it’ll also be located on the same wall as was originally. I know the boiler was fitted in 2008 so we’re probably going to replace that. Would anyone know if what this might cost? I will get some quotes after christmas, just thought I’d ask here first.
£300 to £500
That seems cheap!
Sorry, just read it again. Around £500 to remove, alter pipework and refit existing boiler (depending on ease of new flue installation and minimum pipework changes).
We've been quoted £500 to move combi from inside wall in utility room to an outside wall. Also about 5m.
Benjii, are you asking the cost to fit a new boiler in the new location, or just the extra for moving the pipework etc? We moved ours upstairs when we replaced it, and swapped from gravity to combine at the same time. I did the plumbing for the water, and a gas registered mate did the gas pipe and boiler so the move didn't add much to the cost. The warranty for the boiler required the heating system to be cleaned out, so I took all the radiators off and hosed them.
Was quoted £780 to move from loft to kitchen. Decided not to.
Paid about £800, to move about 10m. That included Mag filter thingy. Am in London, if that adds a bit to?? 🙂
