So...my 5 year old is having 'issues' at his school. There is another kid who is sort of his best mate and sort of his arch enemy...They wind each other up and the teacher has had 'words' with us a few times. The mate is 'the naughty kid' and his parents are pretty stressed out about it, but my kid is no angel. Pretty sure he instigates a lot of the dicking about.
But that's not really the issue, the issue is my son is miserable. He hates school, which does not feel right for a 5 year old. We have another school locally that's a bit more 'village' (in that it's in the local village...) whereas the school he is at is in the centre of the town. We liked the town school as it was a bit more diverse but I think his happiness is more important than our middle class complexes...
I think we are going to move him. Has anyone got experience of moving primary school kids and what impact did it have on them?
