I generally watch films/TV series bought on Google Movies or Blinkbox.
There's a number of films I want to buy to watch, but I wont have internetz where I want to watch them, so need to download them at home, then take them with me as mp4 etc to watch them where Im going.
How do I do it? I don't have a DVD player for ripping bought DVDs. Is hooky torrent the only method I can use? Or are there media sellers who have a system that works with DRM and local files?

Looks like a Chromebook is the answer.
It does seem that the only way you can get DRM free films as files is currently illegal, which is a shame as they now sell DRM fee mp3 music files.
I'm still waiting for the Spotify equivalent for the movie world.
bensales - I might have to see if I can get that to work. I can test it here at home. The problem is I want to "save" to SD, and then take that SD away. I can plug it into another chromebook at the destination, but I dont want to take the chromebook on which I originally downloaded the files with me. I need to check I can store to card, not local SSD
