Anybody else doing this?

First time for me, never really got the point before. But I've since had a MH episode, resulting in my wife calling out an emergency crisis team. I've since done training to be a mental health first aider and I'm taking the whole mental health thing a bit more seriously.

I've committed (stupidly) to walking/running 240km through November. I don't do running so this will be a real challenge for me but I will do it.

Here's my link if anybody wants to follow how I'm getting on or donate.

You can also use this thread or the link to talk, open up, vent, ask for support, anything. I positively encourage it.

As mentioned in the 100 days thread, I stop shaving when the clocks go back each year. Not really Movember at all, just a way of keeping my face a bit warmer during the winter.

240 km in November is not very easy when walking or running but it is great that you have a goal to try and achieve it.

Sounds like you've come out the other side in a much better place my friend.

All the best with Movember, make sure you don't spanner yourself doing it though. That's a lot of (imperial) miles. Even attempting it is heroic in my book and from my (many) failed attempts at riding the STW I can honestly say that it's the attempting and failing that are as much a success as the completing. Erm, if that makes sense? Lol

Anyway, good luck fella!

Tomorrow will be the 2nd time in 8 years I've been clean shaven. My wife has only seen this occurrence once and neither she nor the kids are looking forward to me growing a tash!

Sod em.

It's not gonna be an easy month, realistically I only have 4 days a week to fit the walls/runs in as the other 3 days are very busy. But I'll make it work.

Thanks for the donation @Poopscoop

Lol, go full yeti I say and again, the best of luck, I bet you do make it work.

Oh, I forgot to mention the mental health first aider part. That's immense and I'm sure you'll go on to keep many others over the years to come. <Thumbs up.>

Yep handlebar moustache for me. Rock god or serial killer vibe? No sponsorship just a bit of cajoling to any one who asks to get prostate checked, head checked if feeling down etc.

Face is very cold. This is weird.

Did my first ever 5k run this morning. The intention was to run to the shop to buy shaving gear, but the shop was closed. Sorted it out after. Did the run in 30 mins so not bad. Long way to go.

Good work, on all fronts there.

This thread has prompted me to do something towards it as well ☺️

Happily scrolling down and then BAM! I'm timewarped to a Village People convention.

A little pre warning post next time!

Drac looks nothing like I've imagined all these years but in a good way. Rocking the horseshoe there and should've gone for the full Zappa!

31km covered so far. The gym on Friday has given me sore calves all weekend and my legs are stiff as hell from the running. Not ideal but cracking on. Going to be more difficult to get the miles in through the week but will be doing my absolute best.

Not updated for a while so thought I'd drop back in.

It hasn't been easy to keep on top of the challenge but I've never been far behind.  I'm currently at 165km of walking and running with 1 week left to get to 240km. Problem I have now is I think I've pulled my calf on the run this morning. Uh oh.
