We've got this awning we use as a sort of marquee at the farm, during winter we roll it up and put it in one of the barns. Last weekend whilst up there I got it out and unrolled it.
It's got some mould and mildew like green stuff on it, not furry, just in the cloth.
I could try Caravan centres and maybe Tent sellers, but thought I'd try here first.
Any tips for cleaning products? Do you think normal kitchen mildew cleaner would do it? And I don't have a jet wash and it's too big to take to the local car wash thingy.
And yes it'll get retreated and proofed once cleaned.
Ta.
A hydrogen peroxide solution is what the tent manufacturers often recommend, brushed/rubbed in with a sponge, left to soak then thoroughly rinsed out.
To reproof, I use silicon-based stuff like Fabisil gold
milton fluid, from memory.
must have been damp when it went away. by the sounds of it you have room. try to hang it up for a while before you roll it up next time.
