Making the ferry dash yesterday, just north of Antwerp 130kph and the back of the car bumps up with a huge bang. Scan road behind, nothing obvious. Engine still running, nothing on dash, 30s on the telltale fwap, of a flat tyre. 1km to a turn off.
Got wheel off and there a 50p sized hole centre of the tyre with the inner wires pointing out. Only after changing to space saver did the dash inform me that I was low pressure and to check.
45 mins laterb2 new tyres and back on the road biggest inconvenience was not being able to stop for Belgian beers that and the fear.
