As above, looks like a very good value phone.  Any user opinions and specifically, how's the camera?  Have used a Moto X Play/Force and the camera was pretty good on those, any improvement.  And say, Vs an iPhone camera - how does it stack up?

I've just bought a G6 plus. Previous phone was a Moto X Play. I have to admit I have not taken many photos yet however initial impressions are that the camera is better. Non camera wise it is definitely faster than the Moto X Play and is usage feels much slicker. The addition of the finger print sensor is great. My one bug bear at the moment is that the onscreen button don't hide. Pretty sure the X Play's on screen buttons used to hide in certain situations.

Bigger, yes slightly but thinner at the same time. I think it's also lighter.

Nixie: you should be able to hide the bottoms full time by using the fingerprint sensor as the home back and app function. Setting should be in the Moto app

For the G6 Plus is there anywhere in the UK apart from Carphone Warehouse that sells this as a SIM-free unlocked phone ?

Amazon.

They also have an Amazon-only version of the non-Plus with some enhancements.

G6 plus here. Camera quality is good. Not used it much yet.

The phone is great only stinker is the adaptive brightness has inconsistent behavior. Everything else is excellent.

Got one Saturday  (G6+)  replace my woeful G5S, big step up and feels like a premium phone. Camera is good  especially for low light.

Got a Moto g6 from Amazon with the memory upgrade which is very much worthwhile. It's a good phone, camera has a little bit of lag under certain circumstances ( not a major problem TBH) but picture quality is pretty good.

Annoying the only place you can get the 6+ at the moment is carphone warehouse. Given the very slight difference in price between it and the Amazon special g6 I see no reason to buy the amazon one.

Is the normal G6 bigger than the G5?  I know the screen estate is, but I’m interested as to whether it’ll fit into my bike related waterproof pocket pouch, for which the G5 just about does.

It's longer but thinner by about 10mm.

Screen is 5.7 v 5.
