Do any of them work?
We bought a 2nd hand Fiamma one a few years ago and it ripped on our first trip away. I think the Fiamma ones are not that robust. I would like to get another one but don't want to throw money down the drain. I want one to stop the bikes getting so wet and to also hide them a little from prying eyes.
Can anyone recommend one for the rear door carrier on a Ducato style van?
I was using a cheap 2-bike cover from Amazon on the towbar of my Trafic for a few years. I think the main thing is to strap it tightly to avoid flapping. My cover disappeared one windy day when it was hung out in the garden and I've now bought 2 Velosocks. They've only had one trip each but the fact that they are elasticated means there's no/little flappage. Too early to give an opinion on longevity though.
We used a Taylor made one for 4 years and sold it for £25 when we sold the motorhome, faded a bit but still worked fine

we used to tie it down with a very long kanulock locking strap that stopped flapping etc.
@towser - was it on a van style motorhome or a coach built?
Coach built , fiamma 2 bike rack (so 2 slit model), Very pleased with it and the kanulock is a wire reinforced strap for security but I also chained the bikes to the rack under the cover
Thanks
Ours is a panel van conversion so it's a different rack. We use Fasty straps and a Squire chain/lock but wanted to add acover
I got one of these :-HP-Autozubehör 18158 Bicycle Cover with Warnta Felt Bag (do a search, i cant get links to work)
Nice and cheap, Bungie all the way around the rim with 2 hooks so you can get it nice and tight. Its so far lasted 3000m miles around Europe and countless weekends away without incident. It covers 2 bikes and is fine. Packs up small too.
I dont think I'll get another 3000 miles out of it but for the money you cant really go wrong.
Thanks Lowry. I'll have a look.
