I quite fancy getting a camera for my motorbike and was after some recommendations please!
Is it best to get a helmet or handlebar mounted camera? Which makes/models offer the best bang for the buck?
Budget around £100 ideally.
Thanks in advance.
What do you want to do with the footage? Is it for "dash cam" use or to actually entertain/bore people with?
Rachel
A bit of both I guess.
I only passed my test recently so the footage would be more for my use (I wouldn't be sharing) just so I can review the footage. Dash-cam type protection would be useful but this isn't the primary objective.

TheYak recommends an SJ5000 WiFi. TheYak uses one on his bike and gets good results.
I've got an old GoPro Hero 2 attached to the handlebars with a cheap Amazon clip mount. Does the job perfectly for dashcam/insurance purposes but it does vibrate and rattle a bit. There are GoPro-alikes available for well under £100. Probably go with a chest mount or helmet mount if you want to show off your footage.
Rejoice in TheYak's video from the summer time.
Nice video TheYak 🙂
And thanks for the info all - it gives something to look for.

I like that, Yak.
I think the Africa Twin is about perfect, lovely thing to spend time on.
I've had an SJ4000 for aaaaages and it's been great, so if the SJ5000 is good then that's definitely worth a look. When I looked at replacing mine (fancied 4k for no real reason) the Apeman 4k seems to be well reviewed. Didn't bother in the end, though.
Cheers all.
Is it important to get one with image stabilisation?
I know its above budget but I use a Garmin Virb Ultra 30. Its 4K and has a built in GPS and accelerometers etc. So you can plot your journey on a map overlay.
Also has ANT+ support so if you use it on your push bike you can over lay data like power and HR too.
