My Triumph Tiger went missing overnight from the seemingly massively secure q-park underground car park in Cavendish Square near Oxford Street last night, whilst I went on a business trip for a couple of nights.
Westminster made a big deal of how secure these car parks were when they introduced paid on street parking for motorcycles; feel pretty pissed off. Always felt better about it being in there than being at home!
From the attendant's tone, it didn't seem like this was the first time. Apparently guys come in two up on another motorcycle, cut the locks with a cordless angle grinder, smash the steering lock; and the immobiliser doesn't bother them 1%. They get away with the bike running in 10 minutes or so.
