Anyone fancy a ride out some time soon on the two wheeled single track motorbike tours?

It's been a while. Superfli? Poddies? Welsh and border crew?

What say you?

I'll hopefully be picking up my MT07 within a month. I'd be well up for a ride somewhere! Good way to run it in.

She does look lovely. I look forward to the ride out even more now, to see how we match up.... 899 with Termis but no pics yet I just realised. No ohlins, but loving the big piston Showas.

I'm just waiting for a horn to arrive and can then daytime MOT it once I work out the wiring for the horn from switchgear, which is a little confusing for some weird reason.

The pic above is from Portimao a couple of weeks back.

You going to Auto Italia in Bristol tomorrow ?

Ride! When and where? Stop bragging about your bikes guys and lets get it organised.

prepared to organise a ride round here, MCN test route and loads of great "un-policed" roads?

Will there be a slow group? I need to bring one of my bikes down to London but whatever one that is (probably my CBF1000GT) there is no danger that I'll even try to keep up with the sports bike folks!

I turned my motorbike into the base for a temporary worktop. I am ashamed. But it's quite a good worktop.

Chaps, Welsh roads favour all bikes. Sheep slow you down, but the Tarmac is worth the trip, I suggest our northern chapter could join us for an adventure, and then we can have a south to north trip too?

Ok, not sure what's going on here but I'm prepared to lead a ride based on Rutland/Lincs/Northants using loads of roads that are in all the "best Riding Roads" of GB books/sites etc.

Suggest meet at Rutland Water 10.00am ride until 4.00pm with stops for fags/piss and lunch every hour. Can't guarantee no Cops but in 5 years round here I've only seen two traps 🙂

I don't mind when but may i suggest Sunday 10th May?

I'm always keen for a rideout, but my weekends are often busy. Shout out a date and I'll let you know. S.Wales preferable 🙂
I've no longer got a sportsbike, but the GS can be slung around corners pretty swiftly, just have to wait for me on the straights!

Sunday 10th May I'm at Rockingham with the wife riding the 848 and me on pit-crew duty. Maybe would be nice if you head over that way and come for a chat and watch people going round ?

We could certainly incorporate that into the route as we go down the Uppingham to Corby Road.

Is it a race or Trackday - can you get us in 😉

Some cracking riding in the Scottish Borders.

Like this for example?

[img] [/img]

The road drops down a steep hill then continues along the right hand side of that reservoir. It's a very quiet road but not far south of Edinburgh - I have a little 100 mile loop that includes it.

Yeah yeah! The tyres were only about 50 miles old when I took that pic. :-). Mind you, it's my first time on Metzeler M7RRs - they're great tyres but I'm really struggling to get right to the edge of the tyre. I don't hang about but there's still a few mm of virgin rubber on the edge of each tyre. On Sportsmarts there'd be no chicken strips left within the first 100 miles.

I have this in my garage

It's not mine but the owner is my neighbour without garage. I couldn't bear looking at it covered in snow so told him he could keep it there.
I have no intention on ever going on it as it's too much of a bike for me.
That and the fact that I'm doing my bike test next week and would probably be in Vienna morgue very quickly if I ever went for a blast.

I live near Leicester and could potentially make the Rutland meet, I've a good idea of the route you'd be taking, I'm not long passed my test though so wouldn't want to slow you down..... Got a Street Triple 675

Cycle life - Rutland one. I'll be on my GS so not quite as zippy as you guys but I'm pretty used to being at the back, anyway

Assuming you keep to the 10th of course I can't be out but if you make Rockingham that's all great. However I now have a more appropriate road tool for the next ride out as I went to my local KTM dealer to pick up a bike with a mate, I walked out owning a 15 plate new 390Duke! Oops!
