My sons 6000mile YBR125 forks are leaking oil from one top seal which I think is an MOT fail.

I've changed the seal and dust wiper for genuine new ones and the leak persists and is probably worse now its got full fresh oil.. The chrome stanchion is unmarked.

The seals have a tapered outer corner edge which is lower most (to aid insertion?) Have I put the seal in upside down?

When I lift the dust seal and cycle the forks, it looks like there is some slight bushing play?

If the forks are shot, I'm looking at some pattern replacements which are sourced from Taiwan on eBay for about £90 / pair, anyone care to comment as to how good these are?
