er... that's it.
Status as No. 1 son for a while - almost guaranteed.
Unless one of you siblings trumps you by taking your mother over to Holland for a suprise trip to visit you.
Don't think i can beat the retuning home from holland thing but between my sister and i we have got our mun 2 tickets to see Jamie Cullum and will be making her, her favourite breakfast of croissants and freshly squeesed orange juice on sunday morning.
Present - check.
Card - present trumps card, so not required (in my world, at least, not my mum's)
I am considering home-making a card like the ones I used to give her when I was 6.
A home made card sounds good, though my drawing skills would shame your average 6 year old.
Last weekend a group of us (friends from an ante natal class) made homemade cards and canvases for our partners (baby handprints and the like) as presents. We were all duly making our babies do little footprints and things when we turned to see one guy making a potato print of his 9 month old daughter's arse onto a canvas.
By the time he had finished it looked like a cute butterfly.
Well it made us laugh. A lot.
My mother said if I ever buy her anything for mothers day she would clout me.
She says "I don't expect to be treated nicely just one day a year"
TBH she's a great mum but I'm still not going to risk a thump 😉
