Is a yellow engine warning light (for three broken glow plugs) a fail or an advisory?

I thought the recent changes said a lit engine management light was a fail however a friends car passed last week with it lit - o2 sensor apparently. He got an advisory as the car was within the emissions limit. Given this I guess in your case it’s if the glow plugs cause a fail or not - not sure how they would.
(n.b. not tester)

I just phoned the garage - he thinks it is an advisory, but will need to check with the tester (who is off today). Hmmmm.

Can you reset it to remove light.
I had this on a mondeo - disconnected battery and it went away - until I pushed the engine really hard..

My passenger side screen wash jet has stopped working - is that a fail?

Yes. Get a needle and unblock it.

What about a seatbelt warning light even though the seatbelt works?
Could I just disconnect it, or would that be a fail too?

Glow plug light will be a pass with advise. Seatbelt warning light possibly be the same, I believe airbag lights and abs lights are the fails at the minute.

Warning lights
As well as electronic parking brake and electronic stability control warning lights (where fitted) the MOT test will also include checks for the correct function of the following, where fitted;

Headlight main beam warning light
Electronic power steering warning light
Brake fluid level warning light
Seat belt pre-tensioner warning light

Id imagine lighting up under normal use isnt functioning correctly....
