You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Daughter needs to take her car for an MOT. Normally does it while home with a garage we have used and trusted for years. Unfortunately she can't get home so needs to have it tested down there. Can anyone recommend a reliable and honest place for an MOT around Chelmsford?
If you don't get any good recommendations.. You could always get a test done by a council mot centre who don't carry out repairs so don't have any real motivation to fleece you. Although sometimes they can be more pedantic..
Also if you go to the government mot site and look up exactly what is tested, you can check 95% of the things yourself.. Lights working, no big chips on windscreen, windscreen wiper performance etc.
Tyre Tech in South Woodham Ferrers - about 15-20 mins drive south of Chelmsford.
Small family run business - very helpful and very reasonably priced for repairs!

Did think about council for test, so will do that and try tyres tech if needed. Thanks.
Is it a Ford or Mazda? If so she's near Rayleigh at any point, DK Auto are my goto guys for MOTs/servicing etc.
Or else if she's near Billericay at all, Main Road Garage are good. Work late hours some days as well.
I never found a trustworthy garage in Chelmsford.
Although sometimes they can be more pedantic.
Which piece of the minimum roadworthy standard test are you objecting to, as that is all the mot is. One minute you are chucking the fleeced accusation about, and the next complaining when the test is carried out correctly. Standard customer just wants the piece of paper doesn't actually want a test.
Trinity near the prison is trustworthy.
Had several cars serviced and MOT'd there.
