In my view...
Most successful: CAMRA
Least ". It's a toss-up between CTC and Keep Britain Tidy.
National Trust & NFU
&
Canine Defence League (now the Dogs Trust after the then Accountant stole millions)
Banks surely.
Car companies are doing welll though....
The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society.
I'd count UKIP as more of a pressure group than a serious political party so they'd be the most successful and the least successful must be one I've never heard of.
Quiet night CF ??? 🙂
This is my favourite: Book burning campaign
GEFAFWISP
WOFDCAP
@CF; is organisms a spelling mistake?
Are Banks pressure groups!?!? Agree with National Trust.... Totally lost the original objective look after areas/buildings of interest and importance.....yes for all....no
People's Front of Judea.
Judean People's Front.*
*Splitters.
National Society for the Promotion of Cruelty to Children continues to go strength to strength
Royal Society for the Prevention of Birds, though - rubbish. I still see birds all over the place.
if they don't need to be UK based then the National Rifle Association must be up there with the most successful.
Least successful, pretty much +99% of any petitions raised since the Govt said they'd pay attention to them...
Im not sure if cfh is being too obscure for some

It's way too obscure for me

Back when I had more dealings with DEFRA some of the folks I knew there said the RSPB would lobby them constantly about countryside issues that had nothing to do birds or birds habitats.
They found that RSPB members would usually have strong opinions on the countryside and the RSPB had a fair bit of money so they would get involved
They were quietly one of the key players in the fox hunting ban I seem to remember being told
Yeah, the RSPB has turned itself into a Nature Society. Current magazines and info I get are definitely targeted away from Baby Robins to more Field Nature Environments..
