I can't believe it took that long in honesty. I saw the title, read the first post and thought it wouldn't make it past two pages.

I'm quite amused by the contentiousness of the toilet plumbing thread. Odds on it being closed?

There is probably just much resentment against each other so I suggest removing all users and getting them to rejoin with a different username. It would then take at least a week for the resentment to build back up...

They went in the shredder, new ones have been added in.

I have to admit, I often avoid the threads on here that just look like they will descend into petty arguments and try and stick to the 'fun' ones, but they are becoming harder to pick. Even the Rugby thread was less about Rugby than it was about petty arguing and name calling last 6 nations round.

Could just mean I've completely desensitised to it all.

I think it's more that a conversation about replacing part of a toilet got feisty at all. It's like arguing over the best shade of beige.

I thought the same but then I have not contributed to it nor have any interest in doing so. I am an outsider on that one and it does just look like most threads - arguing and point scoring for the sake of it.
I personally find it better to just leave a comment and then return a day later which removes the back and forth and the emotion and any replies can be caught the next day.
