Just have that a quick go and got the same result as you. All were based on pattern recognition. So proves I’m sort of okay at pattern recognition from a small sample I guess 😀

I am no expert but it feels like people are tested on whether they can see "meaning" behind an event.
A bit like the way we see the world with some saying it is orderly while others say it is chaos to make sense of.
Oh well, at least my skull is not as empty as I thought it should be. Thinking hurts.

I got 133 to 149* 😎 but it did take me a long time to realise that despite being reasonably intelligent I wasn't particularly clever.
* That test is shit
The Classical test on the right is the test most like any IQ test I have done.
I got 10/10 which I know will please Ernie but watch out though as he will now be asking you all why you are doing a test.
What a strange remark.... there is no need to warn people to "watch out"!
If regularly testing your intelligence is important to you and you score really high then I think that's great - good for you!
It's not an easy mistake to make but might you be confusing me with Stephen Hawkins, who apparently said “people who boast about their IQs are losers”?
I made a point of saying that personally I thought Hawkins's remark was rather harsh.
I'd have to say my Dad.
As a TV repair guy (and other associated electronic stuff) he already had a library of qualifications
When going on family holidays, he learned to speak Greek, German and French.
We needed a new kitchen, so he learned everything he needed to know, and fitted it himself.
Bathroom, roofing, garden landscaping, the same.
Car mechanics....... did that (including a couple of engine swaps for me)
Now, at the age of 78, he doesn't get out much due to a stroke a few years ago. But he's torn between learning Japanese or Russian....... he says he might do both.
Some people just have it in them to absorb every bit of knowledge they encounter/need.
If someone told me I was only 10% of the man he is, I'd be happy with that

hang on, so you’re not Stephen Hawkins? All these years and I’m just finding out.
Andy5390’s dad sounds ace.
Then into insignificant. Like the ash, when the wind blows it disperse. Never to be heard again. (happened to most of my big bosses)
That's cremation for you.

Thanks, it is not actually that important and I spend less time on them than I have on this thread with answering your odd questions about IQ tests and implied loser comments (via Hawkins).

Thank you very kindly

I am a building worker with very basic education who struggles with simple arithmetic. Also I can, and regularly do, ride a bike. It is hard to imagine a less appropriate comparison with Stephen Hawkins 🙂
