Everything Ok Go have ever done.

Real genius at work here.

God knows how they make any money when they spend three years making a video?

Are there any other majorly creative videos I might have missed?

At the time, mid-80's, I still think that a-ha's 'Take On Me' broke new ground.

(And, no, not because of the Fortnite dance!)

The Scientist by Coldplay. Pretty simple idea but learning to sing a song backwards is pretty impressive.

Metallica's One, the full version. Something unsettling about that song and video.

Beastie Boys Sabotage for me. More for the effort than anything else. They did interviews in character as the cops the played. Probably not the most creative, but definitely one of the best music videos in my opinion along with DJ Formats We Know Something You Don’t Know.

Have to agree about Ok go, the treadmill video is simple but genius.

I don't think these are the most creative ever but they're pretty good.

Prodigy-Smack my bitch up (Just for the twist at the end)

Korn-Freak on a leash

Of course the one that started it all - Bohemian Rhapsody.

Cry - Godley and Creme

Sledgehammer - Peter Gabriel

Sinead O’Connor - for the shear beautiful simplicity.

+1 for Sabotage, but director Spike Jonz has done a few creative pieces.

windowlicker by Aphex Twin (warning: adult language from the beginning) and anything else by Chris Cunningham:

The Scientist by Coldplay. Pretty simple idea but learning to sing a song backwards is pretty impressive.

They ripped this off the Spike Jonze video for Pharcyde called Drop. They had to rap the whole song backwards. Awesome video...better song too!

I would like to suggest:

Prodigy / Smack My B*tch Up:  https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17d6h

and

DJ Snake / Turn Down For What:

I had Peter Grabriel's Sledgehammer going round my head when I opened the thread, but Daft Punk is a great shout. The way the different dancers represent the different "instruments" is very cool.

Tool lake some great, and bewildering, videos.

Others:

Metallica: One

Beastie Boys: Sabotage

Duran Duran: Wild Boys

Neurosis: Locust Star (more weird than anything)

Gojira always do creative stuff

Ok Go are matters of the at of making amazing videos to disguise  spectacularly mediocre tracks.

But, 21 posts without this?

Ok Go films are very very clever ,shame the music doesn't excite me in the same way.

We love this in our house...

How about REM - Imitation of Life

The entire video took only 20 seconds to shoot and what you're watching is a  loop that goes forwards for 20 seconds, backwards for 20 seconds,  forwards for 20 seconds, backwards for 20 seconds and so on.

or Arcade Fire

Designed for Google Chrome, it allows you to manipulate light, placement and object, allowing you to see (or not to see) various aspects of the video

or Royskopp - Remind Me for anyone who has ever had to work for the man proving that mankind has erected immense, resource-devouring systems of almost incomprehensible complexity just so you can sit in your cubicle.

+1 choppersquad. Even though it was not my type of music I do remember lots of my mates waiting until midnight to see Thriller on channel 4.
