Did we see tonight's? Excellent discussion of men's issues. Some of which I've been through lately, good to hear it put out there in the open 🙂

Properly touching end. Has been a beautiful watch. Reminds me a bit of the Repair Shop, slow paced, enthusiastic skills being the backdrop to more emotional stories.

MrsMC only watched the last one and just said "that was lovely", so high praise from her. Even my 17 year old lad will put his phone down to watch it - partly cos of some of the places they've stayed in

Binged watched the first 1.5 series over the weekend after spotting this thread last week.

Its BRILLIAAAAANT!!!!

I cant remember the last time I cried with laughter but the Neapolitan ice cream scene is series 1 was the funniest thing.

Watched the lot over the last few weeks
By christ mortimer is rubbish ay fishing
Which is offset by pauls love of the outdoors, the gish and the camaraderie he shared with Bob
The accommodation is different and adds an interest to the program

I cant believe I have been missing this show. I started on series 1 a few days ago and I think its brilliant tv, some very funny moments and conversations going on.

I have been looking for something light and entertaining to watch, sick of all the murder, violent and negative shows that I sometimes have to sit through!

I am glad I have found the show, lovely to watch and very enjoyable! 🙂

I totally gave this a miss as not a fan of Paul Whitehouse, but caught the last ten minutes of one a week or two back and thought.... This is actually great TV. 🙂

One of my favourite bits of the series was when the chicken got involved in the card reading.

Yup , same here I devoured all 3 series in a few days. Absolutely beautiful TV , funny and melancholy at the same time. Lovely little touches with the drone shots and soundtrack . They bounce of each other so well , Bob seems very honest about his depression . Top quality TV and a joy to watch compared to the endless junk TV and dreary Covid news.

Only recognised one place, which was Sheringham. Parents used to take us on holiday there sometime. Saw the sign for Beeston where my dad would take us for a game of pitch and putt. Then we'd fall out.😀

Well that's timely. I was trying to identify some music from an episode and Google isn't helping. All the music is listed on the website. STW comes up trumps again.

Been watching this over the break....
Great show. Easy going. Perfect hangover telly.

I used to fish lots when I lived in the UK. Generally once or twice a week.

I used to often fish at Bentley Lakes (S2E2). Caught many a fish there. Weren't allowed to night fish, though.

Their accommodation was miles from where they were fishing....

My wife has just given me Bob’s Stetson Pork Pie hat for valentines. Very happy but, not being a hat wearer, I’m going to have to build up my confidence before wearing it outside!

I felt like this series was nowhere near as good as the previous ones. Like they’d run out of ideas and even things to talk about.

They have in my opinion. Have watched them all but they have either lost something or are just too much more of the same. They really should not do another series.

Literally love these two, my partner laughs that I like it so much as it’s just chill out telly about a sport I don’t do. But for me just the humour wins it. One episode at the coast where he joked about there being internet and having to ring (in his posh voice) “excuse me can you connect me to the internet” , had me in stitches!

Good episode to finish on, dispelled my doubts. Maybe adding a guest is the way forward, the Chris Rea episode in the last (?) series was fantastic.

Getting a bit close for comfort there! I honestly thought I’d be less than 90 myself. Clearly I’ve been in denial… riding isn’t cutting through… might need to dig out the running shoes.

He's like the indie national treasure, I don't know how many from the mainstream watch him (maybe more now because of WILTY, etc.) but to those that know, he's just delightful.
