It's that time again. Any deals about?
£85k over about 12-15 years for a remortgage value about £140k.

Bloody hate this stuff.

London and country mortgage brokers

I have no link to them, just a satisfied customer.

Our fixed rate of 5% has just finished so going to enjoy the 2.5% for a while. Not much help I know but think NW were doing 4.5% 5 year fix.

halifax has a cheap fixed at the moment (3.85%) with no fees at all so you can review matters in two years time.

HSBC had some low rates last time I was in the branch.

edit: fee free lifetime tracker with 1.89 above base at 60% (84k of 140k or value your house at £142k)

just watch the early redemption charges (if any) if the base rate creeps up and you want out.

We have recently remortgaged and 2 mortgage advisors said they no longer have access to mortgage deals that the public don't. They also said that more companies now will only deal direct with the customer ie. Not through a broker.

We have just gone down the tracker route with HSBC. No fees and no tie in's.

At least go with a broker/advisor who is 'whole of market' but just be aware even then they may not be able to get you the best deal anymore.

Checkout http://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/tables
It's a government thing and shows all deals I think.

Hmm.. I just get "Your results have timed out." when I press "Show me mortgages" on that form.

Definitely a government IT system then... 🙄

London and Country are very good. Costs you nothing and they scour the market for you to get the best deal. I've done 3 mortgages through them and couldn't be happier.
