Still one of my favourite bands after all these years, timeless sound, and so effing cool.
Can't believe it's 20 years since Mark Sandman died ☹️ 26 since Cure for Pain came out!
Cure for pain just came up randomly on my music stream, and it's now meant that I've gone into my iTunes and set all their stuff to play in a playlist.
Great documentary about Mark/Morphine here:
Saw the thread title and was about to make a smartarse comment about the band.
They were great, weren’t they?
Good trail's, too many Brits and quite expensive.
Is this the band that decided that a saxophone is better than a guitar?
If so, history has proved them wrong.

In this context, yes it was 😘
And do you think Morphine cared? Loved them when I heard Honey White for the first time. Just three guys playing the music that they wanted to play.
Never heard of them 🙁 Now that I have I'm loving it 🙂
Another one of my faves by them....

History has proved that many bands have chosen a variety of different instruments over guitars, and as far as chart music is concerned, actual instruments are few and far between.
