You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We should be using all March hare revisions but it's friday so it's first reply sets the rules day.
Fincham Road
I refer you to the Mango Chutney Ruling of 1769. As I am sure you all know, this means that diagonals are banned, but you can block on the transverse.
Tottenham Court Road.
Walthamstow.
Spring rules, stockholm contravention version 3.
that's fair enough
Ealing (bi-laterally)
delays expected today....
Tooting.
Bec, of course. Not Broadway, that would be illegal.
I suspect the mango chutney ruling has scared off the amateurs. Funny really, especially as they're probably the most straight forward of all the 18th century rulings.
Is Hammersmith available in open play?
Can I challenge Tooting please using the force of Habit rule?
Basicaly flash can only move to the right cant he?
Hehehehe 😆
Normally I'd only play if Dollis Hill was wild but I think the Chutney Ruling means I can go for Edgeware Road.
Hammersmith not available in Spring rules, until flash is back after his stint in the buffers.
There's a problem with the Mango Chutney ruling. Read the footnote to the 1973 edition, and you'll see that a moritorium on its use was imposed as a reult of a diplomartic gaffe made by Ted Heath when playing an international game at an OPEC summit.
On that basis, diagnoals are allowed: Gloucester Road.
I'm back from the buffers, so I'll take it across to Wimbeldon.
Chancery Lane
(trapezoidal)
Not bad but lacking in tactical nous to use the trapezoidal. Victoria.
"Lacking in tactical nous.. " eh? Right ...
Ruislip Gardens.
ACTON!
Victoria to Euston (Black line) - ignore this move
F*ck
Upton Park
Battersea south
Knight to Queen 4.
😉
Can I? I think so, but just need to check that the edges aren't overlapping before I drop it in there.
I'm invoking the RT Rule of 1987, utilising the fresh air option, split diagonals and Mother Brown's finest.
Leaving Camden Town as it's grim in teh north so I'll Fight the French and take Liz to Mudchute.
And done.
Where to go from there then? Oh hang on, it's a simple, clean, crisp (and really rather obvious)
Kings Cross.
Victoria.
Which is a blind if I'm not mistaken. Moves south to this are now going to be Bunted.
Careful now...
this is all getting far too circular and spiteful, it smacks of 'hooper’s mainline variation' and is better suited to Lent.
Can I propose the 'liberal coalition rules'
Defined by David Lloyd-George at the May Fair Synod of 1922. Better known as his New May Fair Rules. These pre-date, and must not be confused with his Further May Fair Rules of later that year. If in doubt, remember the handy aide-mémoire often recited by seasoned players: Lloyd-George New May Fair - The Further New Lloyd-George. Remember, Prince of Wales Drive can only be approached from the South, and 3 Shepherds in a row earns a bonus point.
Blackfriars
I'm playing blind here as I don't have access to my copy of the rules,
so this move is a bit blind. But I am going to play 'Swiss cottage'
..awwhh,
nice call though, like your thinking (rhombus signal call) ?
Swiss Cottage??!! you certainly are playing blind, it was a Perivale move required there if ever there was one.
jojoA1, follow that then !
Swiss is indeed more cunning than it looks at first glance
Ponsonby Road
never saw that coming !
Brixton, the hard way.
I should probably break for lunch at this point. I'm in-for-nibb for next two moves.
Parsons Green
Turnham Green? It certainly does.
Just to clarify we are playing under the chutney day light saving rules?
If so we go west with Boston Manor
Holloway Road (going up the Arsenal on the blue line)
right, . . .have only ever seen this done once before . . . .(Elektra advisory)
Nevsky Prospekt (St. Petersburg)
It's off-camber, but ....
Channel Light Vessel Automatic
(mirroring the Paris Dauphin), has to be West
am i alone in asking?
WHAT THE HELL CRAZY ASS RULES ARE YOU PLAYING???!??
has tooting bec gone? If so, broadway.
Pook, Mango Chutney, as discussed.
Bec has gone, so with Broadway down I can only really do one thing. Annoying as it leaves me wide open to a bluff from the North. But......
Pimlico.
Euston
sorry Pook,
(as i intimated toward earlier) the Ferrymans Internationale is a one off shot. It had to be taken, its a once in a blue moon call. Apologies.
Mike59
that was genius . .!
I don't like these new fangled rules. What happened to plain old Mornington Crescent Humph Rules?
We'll do Humph rules next week. This game is in its death throws anyway.
Russell Square
I've just read this thread from the start 🙄
Humpf will be turning in his grave.
Luckly B good is back on track
so..
Swiss Cottage.
Stockwell, . . . .obviously
REPETITION!!!!
Halfbee, you're in the buffers
Grange Hill, invoking Stovolds 1928 variation
How can I be on the buffers????
I can return after 3 using sidings
this is slow to a crawl, has this morphed into Mornington Crefent (early Tudor vers.)?
Come on. . .
(think of Piccadilly & Brompton Railway 1906)
not giving that one away.
so,
Archway
Earl's Court.
Deviation.
Was that a statement or a request? 😉
Deviants.
Stockwell, invoking the Dixon of Dock Green amendment 2006 rifles revision.
Stockwell again, that leaves you,. . . . .
Oh well
Mornington Crescent (if I'm not mistaken) 🙂
d'oh. Nice one b good.
well done B-, a technical knockout but a knockout it is
thank you, it was a delight to play,
DeBretts Peerage rules anyone ?
(Charles Yerkes version i.)
Too soon after a win i guess 😉
