That would require me to play a Guttersnipe Reversal to Fleet Street. I didn’t want to but it was all I had in my hand.

Blimey this is a good game. Haven't seen it played so well since Humph was with us.

So in the spirit of Mr Littleton, I've checked the shoulder stats and you have to go to all the way back to West Ham to see a diagonal counter rabbit.

So Tottenham Court Road.

I think.

Technically Pont Neuf could be allowed, the only version of the rules that would disallow would have been the 2017 rules which as we established earlier aren't valid for official play.

It's morally highly dubious though and I suspect might lead to some horrible consequences.

Sod it. You only live once. Pont Neuf.

CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL - I withdraw my move.

Some frankly scary emails came in from "concerned parties" and a blacked out car has just parked up opposite. I think someone's at the door.

Maida Vale.

Was played earlier but I think Double Euston would still trigger a reset and is playable from Tottenham Court Road - Fleet Street run.

I don't who is refereeing this game but Cougar has been in Nid since his second move, which invalidates the last four moves, and puts us back to Tottenham Court Road.

I think technically that’s a ‘Double”Double Euston” - I’ve looked it up in my Stovolds Black Book of obscurity & miscellanies (Winter Edition translated from the original Russian) & I’m not sure how we proceed...

I’m not sure how we proceed…

Straight to Oval.

Heaven help us if no one else realised that is the only permissible move at this point.

Damn. Just checked and Arnos Grove is also a permitted move.

That is under the Russell Square amendment of 1991.

I’m going to take my lead from the gameplay of the great Symingtons marathon of 1954, which of course led to a rewrite of the rules surrounding the Bashall Manoeuvre. Hoping there aren’t such catastrophic consequences this time but, here goes...Belsize Park.

Belsize park? You know how risky that is, however since the handgun ban and also the restrictions on dueling pistols i think we will be ok.
Sabres were banned before that issue.

As i just sat down hard and it hurt, going to go with chalfont and latimer

The dog has now been in for some time after woofing at a fox and has since paused in the kitchen before settling in the living room I believe that results a reset to Becontree on the stops from Barking principle.

I'm Mornington Crescent Master of Ceremonies for this game. MCMC, or MC^2, or reducing sufficiently, E.

I believe that in playing dual role of moderator and user of this forum for a decade, I'm equally well equipped to MC impartially whilst still playing. If there are any robust objections to this then I will of course stand down as a player.

And I haven't been in Nid, but I totally understand why you'd think that. I've been in Knipp and have been playing accordingly.

Back to the game.

Hannah's Belsize Park is an incredibly ballsy move and the audience went wild.

From there to Turnham Green, yes, you are technically correct but it doesn't need to. As established in Cryer vs Garden 1997, you can go overground.

So, Hannah's at Belize, Pnik is at Turnhan Green and Graham is at chalfont & Latimer? So, given that I'm at Green Park I can now go straight to Hangar Lane which means garage-dweller has to miss two turns. And he was so close too!

I'm really not a fan of the long form game played on forums rather than live, it's like having a game of cricket over zoom.  However this has been excellent so far and most enjoyable. A few on here really know what they are doing

I’m new so please forgive any errors. Just checked the 2018 rules (revised edition) and believe I’m at West India Quay. That puts me on the largest stretch of line with wheelchair access. There is a page missing from the rule book I have so I’m not entirely sure if that makes my move illegal.

I think it's more like the village 'football' games with about 200 players a side and no defined pitch and everyone playing slightly different rules, it can sometimes tkar days for anyone to score. It's fun to do, but folks watching have got used to the Gardens, Cryers, Brook-Taylors and their ilk playing the equivalent of premier league matches. They know what they are doing, and the much smaller teams make it much easier to follow

Yay - been waiting for someone to play Hyde Park Corner. I can use my Memory Lane side bar and do a circus I think.

Gonna go with Oxford due to the inevitable Tipperary is a long way amendment being used in three turns time.

So - Oxford Circus.

That’s an excellent question. It’s a perfectly valid route as long as a qualifying station has been in play at some point during the game (it doesn’t have to be the turn directly prior, that’s a common error made by newer players). Paddington is a solid choice if you want to play safe, assuming you can get to it of course! If you’re going to the airport however you must specify a terminal, you cannot merely play Heathrow in its entirety as it’d totally imbalance the Western Quadrant.

I can only speculate on whether brexit will affect Heathrow games going forward, I haven’t been able to track down this year’s rulebook. Either it’s sold out everywhere or it’s not been released yet, I’m not entirely sure. So for the sake of argument we’ll play as though it’s business as usual until I can get a definitive answer to the contrary.

@Cougar - with commentary on proceedings as elegantly succinct as that, have you considered becoming an STW mod? Back to game, before rule 14b gets enacted and we get put on the naughty step till someone goes through Archway...

Obviously avoiding Harrow-on-the-hill, I'll drop in on Pinner.

A Circus after a cloverleaf is akin to Thrumpington's 1968 disaster move, and look what that caused!

In this case though a Circus is permissible due to the Tipperary contingency played by my good self! Although Earls Court is a good defensive move in these circumstances so also allowed...

So @mrlebowski still has a choice I think... Or does he?

As we’ve had Old Kent Rd earlier bringing the 1986 Monopoly rules in force it’ll have to be Kings Cross St Pancras

Does this invoke the Hainault Loop clause? I have a feeling it does but I'd hate to play an amateur blunder in a simple confusion over 1986 Monopoly Rules vs the Essex Rules variant.

After 1030 on a Sunday so under the conserve anomaly I may no longer visit Paddington or Baker St and too early for Victora. I'm worried for funmasterp that Pudding Mill Lane is caught by the same but cannot find the relevant reference in the script just now. May depend on whether he's gone savoury?

Looking like Embankment for a change of direction for me.

"Purple tokens" They were annexed in 2037 by Zorba the Melancholy from High Wycombe, no new amendment was passed, but regulation 7b was applied therefore Upney to Uxbridge direct using reverse time travel in a vertical parallax. I have spent the £200 in the usual way C and H.
I confirm Uxbridge.
