...seem to be something I'm getting more often.

I can wake up one morning and just know I'll be in a foul, uncooperative mood for a couple of days. It was Monday this week, everything seemed to trigger me - even one of my long standing customers commented - 'are you alright, not seen you like this before'!

This morning it's like a switch has been flicked - happy, chatty, helpful - 'need that job tomorrow, yeah no problem'.

Seems like there's a chemical trigger that flicks that switch. Or a tiny, insignificant thing will get to me and fester in my brain.

Not sure it's depression as I'm not really depressed, so just wondered what other people experiences are?

You don't like Mondays?

There's a song about that....

Sleep patterns? Alcohol? Maybe keep a diary and try to spot any triggers. I often feel very grumpy just before a migraine hits.

Do you have a tendency towards black/white thinking?  ie, someone or something is fantastic/amazing or useless/terrible without much in between?

It's not absolute but, like I said, a tendency.

Blood sugar levels? I get brilliant (not really) mood swings when my blood level is yo-yoing about.

Can be any day of the week! 🙂

Do you have a tendency towards black/white thinking?

In a way I suppose - I like things sorted and parked. If there's a big event coming up that I'm not bothered about. I look forward to it being over without issue than the event itsels.

Blood sugar levels?

Not diabetic and sugar and cholesterols levels always seem OK when I have blood tests for my high blood pressure.

I definitely get this. Normally put it down to tiredness.

shallow as it sounds, lack of s*x is the trigger for me... It's rare i get proper moody, but if i am, you can bet that's a big factor.

If they're only testing for these things they won't spot anything else.

To start with, keep a diary. What foods you eat , what you drink, what drugs you take, what the weather's like, how you feel, and anything else of note.

You may well spot a pattern.

Seems like there’s a chemical trigger that flicks that switch.

If it is, alcohol or caffeine would be the first area that I would look at.

Followed by levels of exercise and/or sleep. And then emotional issues.

Consider meditation and other relaxation exercises💡

When i get moody MrsMC checks how long it is since I rode my bike and then sends me outside for that kind of ride....
