Seriously, I know these are not exactly high brow critiques, although they are all I had to base my selection on whilst stood in Blockbusters, but WTF?
Did any of these people watch the same film that I just rented? Poor acting, awful dialogue and 'action'? I've seen more action in an episode of Tellytubbies. There weren't even any 'Monsters'.
Poor effort - don't bother.
Nope wasn't at all impressed, though I did recently enjoy Skyline, didn't take it at all seriously but thought it good fun. Its been slated by everyone else though...
I hadn't seen any reviews of Monsters before I saw it, I was a bit surprised to see the accliam it had after. Didn't think much to it either, when I saw reviews I thought maybe I was missing something.
I thought it was brilliant. To me the thought of monsters is always more scary than the actual thing. Did you watch the making of? It was quite funny basically a couple of british blokes with a camera and no script using 2 actors and a load of extras.
Then again I hadn't read any reviews it just arrived in the post from lovefilm!!
Not what I expected but I still enjoyed it. Those big alien beasties did not qualify as monsters for you? I'd give it 3/5.
