Sat on my (non-riding) Oakleys & broke the wire that holds the lens in. Fortunately I had a spare length that came in the box but having used that want to get another spare. Google is showing nothing!! I believe it's called monofilament wire but not 100% sure. Some websites are suggesting fishing wire, that would be fine I guess but again not really sure what I need. It feels a bit like nylon, quite tough & hard to cut but has a slight stretch to it if you pull hard. I've measured it at 0.58mm diameter. Any suggestions?!

Any suggestions?!

sounds like fishing line - go to an angling shop

Monofilamnet and fishing line are the same thing

hopefully they'll kindly snip a bit off a real for you rather than you have to buy 100s or meters

I took my Oakleys back to the opticians I bought them from and they put a new wire in free. Try any Oakley selling opticians, they probably do it for a reasonable price or at least sell you a bit.

Yeah I will pop into the opticians next time I'm in town. Failing that angling shop is a good shout, there are a couple nearish. Weird that there is no mention of it at all on the Oakley site/spares department, it is a bit fiddly but takes 5 minutes once you've figured out the technique!
