Mclaren MP4-12c

I love old cars but the simple reality is technology wins

Always wanted one of these on my driveway....
[img] [/img]
Would settle for this though
[img] [/img]
Porches, Ferrari's etc are alright, but I kind of like the more utilitarian look.

unknown
Citroen DS. Or maybe either a coupe or cabriolet Traction Avant. All other answers are incorrect. Except 205 Mi16 - I'd settle for one of them.

This.

That [s]Alpha[/s] Alfa is gorgeous! Except it would conk out every 5 minutes, which is a shame.

They're a lot more reliable these days, and the 8C is built by Maserati, with a Maserati engine.
I didn't get a chance to ask the owner what it's like to use on a day to day basis, but he's got lots of cars to choose from, and then there's always the helicopter... 😯

Also add the Dahlback Racing Golf, Lancia Delta Integrale/Lancia Stratos/Lancia Fulvia Rallye and a 106 Rallye. And maybe a 203 GTi and a VW Phaeton W12 for the motorway blasts 😀

Epicyclo, if you resprayed that, I would have to hunt you down and kill you to death!

Faint not nor fear, I wouldn't repaint that. It looks ideal for my commute. Just a few holes for the bike rack.

I want a replica so I don't have to worry about mutilating a historic vehicle. It would make a mental kitcar.

Trucks parts, thumping great truck engine, Brooklands exhaust, and one seat, it would have a surefire chance of sales of at least one (me).

I've been busy trying to find if there's a plastic kit of it anywhere.

Are there any new cars that look anywhere near as good as all these old awesome looking cars (the mustang, rally style escorts, EVO/Lancer etc)? I'm in the market for a new car in a few months and I love the old style, new cars look gash in comparison - too streamlined and curvy!

250GTO for the road, 917K (in Gulf colours, of course) for track days.

Money no object - it'd be a garagefull!

Supercar - F1 (although I could cope with an Alfa 8C). If it had to be new, a Noble M600
Sunday afternoon cruiser - Eagle Lightweight E-type
Bike lugger - M5 Touring or B7 RS4 Avant.
Track slag - Exige S or Noble M12
Shopping car - Mk1 Golf GTi

I always wanted one of these as a kid

[img] [/img]

Wouldn't have one as an only car though. That'd be stupid.

If it was just the one, a big throbbing german estate not bothered which one. Or a VXR8.

There's already one been posted, but this really would be my dream car....

Here's a classic! Me driving it too, albeit 30 years ago now!

Ferrari FF

a couple of 500 Abarth's, should cover most of the bases there.

Ooh maybe a Tesla model S too.

[img] [/img]

Had the 205 GTI. MkII Golf GTI. Citroen GSA (rather fun).

In contemporary mode, it's got to be this

[img] [/img]

or this

[img] [/img]

On the other hand, if I'm looking for character, it'll have to be this

[img] [/img]

or this

If I could only have one car it would be the M5 Estate. It will do everything I need.

[img] [/img]

If I am allowed multiple cars I will go for a Ferrari FF. This will always be my mode of transport for skiing holidays as well as many other things.

[img] [/img]

And for off roading and MTB trips a Special Vehicles Disco set up with the G4 type kit but with a plush leather interior and the 5.0 supercharged engine and in dark green.

[img] [/img]

Mrs_Ache says she would be happy with the C-Max she already has.

I'm with others on the Ferrari FF. One was outside my office the other day - truly stunning in the flesh.

Failing that (or actually, as well as , if money's no object) a Citroen SM:

As long as there's lots of room for me and the ladies in the back I would let the chauffeur choose the brand.

I think I have misplaced my passion for cars somewhere in the last 150000 miles. I think a 520d or 525i wagon would be more than adequate for anything I would ever want to do with a car.

If I was to pick something more excessive I would plump for a 911 carerra 2 as I am wise enough to know I couldn't do a gt3rs justice.

I love the look of SM's (passed one on the M25 last week) and keep on finding myself looking at ones advertised but I have no
time to drive or look after one or drive it and nowhere to store it. Maybe at some point.

Sadly it's diesel estates with towbars for me in the foreseeable future!
