I was fuming, so I typed a stern worded reply only to have it bounce back.

I was wondering if STW's email is hosted by Google (I have no idea whether this is the case) and it seeing Gmail emails as some sort of non-existent local account or something. I've seen similar with Office 365. But I've just tested it from my own Gmail account and it worked, so I've got nothing I'm afraid.

Actually, that reminds me why I was looking at all of this ....I had put an ad in classified and it was deleted. No comments, no message, just gone! So I wondered if people get emails letting them know about these things, hence checking my address and realising it had long been defunct!

Kinda ironic really when one of the reasons cited for things getting out of hand occasionally on here is ability to be semi-anonymous, yet the mods' modus operandi is complete anonymity via their group email address.

IMHO the poor bastards do a decent job of moderating this rabble...for free.

Its not hard to see why those of us who come to their attention do so and its not hard to see why we would never be happy with their decisions.
