I'm paying £60 for a phone contract and somewhat miffed to only have one bar (no 3G etc) when at home inside the house.

I'm starting to WFH more and this is becoming an issue, especially when it's raining and I can't sir in the garden to get beter reception

The vodafone website says I should have good reception, and I wasn't warned about poor reception when I signed up. I want Voda to give me a Suresignal for free

The money website says:

If the loss of signal is of no direct result of your actions, and it was never explained to you before agreeing to your mobile contract that the signal may be weak, poor or sporadic in your area, then you have rights to cancel under the supply of goods and services act 1982

Are there any other arguments in my favour?

if you can get a signal in your garden/outside but not inside does that not make it your problem?

Do they offer a WiFi calling service that you can use inside instead of the cell signal?

The money website says:

The Money website is wrong, that act hasn't existed for years.

Under Consumer Contract Regulations you have the right to cancel a contract within 14 days of first receiving the service, without requiring a reason. How long have you sat on the problem without doing anything?

I want Voda to give me a Suresignal for free

I don't think Sure Signal exists any more either. They replaced it with Wi-Fi Calling.

Yes, Vodafone do offer that. Need to have a phone that has it to but most do these days don't they?
I have been using wi-fi calling for years as zero reception where I live.

Oh, also,

I’m paying £60 for a phone contract

I'd wager that you aren't. More likely you're paying ~£15/month for a phone contract and £45/month for repayments on a big daft handset.

If that's not the case then you've had your pants pulled down - an unlimited voice, text and data contract can be had for sub-£20 these days on a network that isn't Voda.

Problem solved (I think). SureSignals aren't available anymore (as of 4 weeks ago) but with a bit of help from Voda and some googling, I've managed to enable wifi calling via the Virgin Media network using my google mesh router.
