All,

So, last November I purchased a shiny new Lumia 920 on that new 4G network - and decided that I would return it within the cooling off period - which I did, and said provider acknowledged receipt of phone within that cooling off period.

Since then, I have been calling them on a weekly basis trying to get a refund on my monies.

Can I ask if anyone else is aware that,

A - I am entitled to the money back I paid for purchasing the handset, and

B- I am entitled to the monies taken for first months billing.

I just seem to be going around in circles with them, I have not seen a penny back. Can any one offer advice?

What do they say when you call?

Have they any T&Cs on their web site that you can refer to?

E.g. From the Vodafone site:
If you bought online or by phone
If you bought a phone, device or accessory from our website or over the phone and you're not happy - send it back for a full refund.
You’ll need to call us to arrange a return within seven working days (Monday to Friday) of the day after you received it.
If you bought in-store
If you bought from one of our stores, you can take it back to that store for a refund within seven working days (Monday to Friday) from when you took the product home.

Did you pay by credit card? Pursue through them! There is a time limit though and its something like 60-90 days, plus there is paperwork to fill in so don't delay contacting them.

Well, each time I call them they say they are processing the refund, and to wait seven days for it to be processed etc. Its been going on since November!
Paid by debit card.
Was well within return time/refund time etc - just can't get them to give back monies owed!

they may have cancelled your direct debit at their end when you cancelled, i had this issue, so request payment in a cheque
