You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I saw a poster recently trying to put off fly tippers by mentioning the mobile covert CCTV from the National Trust so I got to thinking....
Is this expensive?
Is it readily available?
Does it come with motion sensors & night vision?
Could we use it to track stick man and his barbed wire wielding trail-wrecking friends?
Does anyone have any experience in this area?
Ta.
Nope.
Yep.
Yep.
Yep. You may "accidentally" record trail sabotage whilst trying to capture footage of badgers and unicorns and that.

*Other wildlife cameras are available. Just thought of this one as I saw it in a cabinet in Aldi at lunchtime.
£50 wow. Thanks. I would have thought that this would be helpful in making a case against people for intending to cause ABH to riders.
Only problem with the Aldi ones is that the illumination LED's are not pure IR, they cast a low red light that people can see.
Some of the more expensive ones have true 'black' IR
I forget where I saw the news story - but a case involving the use of a covert / wildlife type camera to capture a perp (flytipping IIRC) had a list of charges including theft of covert / wildlife type cameras.
So be as prepared to lose the camera are you are to catch your stickman
Stuff goes out of stock pretty quickly in Aldi - so if they're not still available there I thing Toolstation sell them pretty cheaply
Huge number of places sell covert cameras, link up to a car battery buried and a motion sensor and a recorder and youve got a new job as a surveillance operative.
A shop i heard of, they hid a camera in a teddy bears mouth, and put it on top shelf of a display, caught the staff nicking from the till.
