Just got back from walking to the Bull's Head across the fields from Marthall Lane and there was a sheepdog outside Mount Pleasant Farm at about 7:30pm that was timid. I'm pretty sure it belonged to the farmer (Russ Brighouse) but might be worth a phone call to him... If he has a sheepdog then fine, but it was loose... And I haven't walked that way since October so I don't know if it was his or not.

Either way I'll keep an eye out and watch this thread for news.... Good luck!

Have you reported it to the animal warden, also if it's close to another county/area are the next animal warden along as they don't always talk?
If it's not back in a day or so report it again, fing out where the holding kennels are and call them directly.
Good luck.

Just enquired and found out the dog was his... sorry. I've told my family and I'm going round my neighbour's later and will spread the word.

Nice, so had he gone off for a wander? Found nearby?

My old sheltie when I was a toddler went missing for a few days, ended up coming to my nursery school & I recognised him but the staff didn't as he was so dirty & disheveled that he looked like another dog! He went off a couple of times over the years, the little hobo!
