Opened a pack of 14 rashers that had been in the freezer a while and while I'm cooking them up I realise there's only 10 rashers.
Well what could I do.. finish breakfast for the family.
Contact Sainsbury's customer support on the communicator and explain what's happened.
"That's ok Mr bigad, give us your address and we'll send you a voucher."
I was expecting a voucher for bacon rashers but I was stoked to open a gift card for £5.
Thanks Sainsbury's, that is awesome!

Bacon in Sainburys can't be far off a fiver

I don't think sainsbury do product specific gift cards. You must be easily 'stoked'.

Thanks for sharing 🙂

I prefer my bacon unstoked.

OK I'll get my coat.

How do you get the bacon rashers apart when you freeze them?

Probably let them defrost?

OP tells a cracking story though, my favourite bit is about him finishing breakfast for the family BEFORE getting on to Sainsbury to complain, made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I once mentioned on Twitter that whoever designed the hinges on B&Q bog seats should be fed to a leopard.

They sent me a gift voucher to cover the purchase of a better seat.

It's karma for buying supermarket bacon.

Did you return the gesture by sending them the address of a hungry leopard?

I got a big bag of chicken breast portions from M&S for a dinner party. The bag said '6-8' portions but when I opened it (an hour before the meal was meant to be cooked) there were only 5 portions (albeit big ones) so I complained and got my £10 refunded.

Always worth having a complain 🙂

My dad was once stuck in a queue at customer services behind an irate woman who'd bought a disposable BBQ complaining that non of the meat pictured on the packet was inside the box. Once they'd managed to explain to her that non of them have meat in them she then asked 'Well what am I going to do with the rest of them then?'

Turns out that because the were £1.99 and seemingly full of bargaintastically huge quantities of meat she'd bought 5 BBQs and frozen the other 4.

I bought a "Pepperoni Pile Up" pizza from Morrison's.

On the box it showed a pizza covered in Pepperoni, in reality it had about 5 small slices. I complained on twitter on a piss taking way and got a fiver voucher.

A good few years back I munched my way through a big bar of Cadburys whole nut. On finishing i realised it has only had two or three nuts in it, emailed them and got a voucher sent through.

Companies do get it right sometimes.

I booked some tickets to see the IMAX version of the latest Star Trek a little while ago at the local Cineworld. As I've got a Vitality life insurance policy, one of the perks is free tickets. But I couldn't for the life of me get the website to fully put the purchase through. I wound up with about 20 sets of two tickets in my basket, but no confirmations.

Gave them a bell to try and clear everything down and start again. Customer service bod immediately apologised, "Sorry Mr Sales, Vitality doesn't work on IMAX showings, here's a code to get four free IMAX tickets..."

Sorted. Free IMAX tickets on day of release kept my geeking friends happy.

😀

When I was at uni a couple of girls on my course wrote to Nestle to say they bought a packet and got no orange ones and then sat back to await the big bag of orange smarties.
... they got a letter explaining sampling and statistics 😆

Leopards are quite small, (90 to 160 cm, head and body) I think they'd only be able to eat a bog seat designers arms, that'd probably be sufficient for purpose though.
