Beef mints = cottage pie; lamb mints = shepherd's pie.

Mints are alright but not a patch on Wurthers Originals for suckability.

Trebor mints are a minty bit stronger, stick them up your bum and they last a bit longer.

A mint imperial please. It's like ten-pin bowling for your teeth.

You can beat sucking on a Fisherman's Friend.

Not a fan of paedo pellets myself, but I do like a nice softmint, or for flu a whole packet of Fishermans Friends.

Anyone remember Nuttalls Mintoes? They were mint & more suckable than anything else in confectionary.
I once made one last from Sherburn Village near Durham, to Gateshead & back to Chester le St services. 🙂

Mintoes! Many a long car journey as a kid sandwiched between my Nan and Grandpa in the back of the car working our way through a pack of Mintoes.

Anyone else play the After Eight Game?

each competitor places a wafferrr thin mint on their foreheads. Winner is the first one to get the mint into their mouth using facial contortion and gravity alone. If it falls off, you start again.

I'm pretty good at it, if I do say so myself.

I've developed a real passion for Altoids mints. The little tins come in handy, too.

Back in the late 90's i used to buy box loads of the altoids mints, throw the mints away and use the tin case to build CMoy headphone amplifiers with a dip socket and sell them on ebay and the various hi fi geek forums with a variety of burr-brown op-amps dependant on what sound the user desired, I was an unashamed geek with a soldering iron 😉 , made quite decent £ out of it as well, but i don't like mints - they are nothing but sugar and rot your teeth.

We used to do this with Tunnock's Teacakes. Many a beery evening ended with a round or two of Tunnock-Bashing.

That sounded less dodgy in my head.

Mints give me indigestion, which is doubly annoying when I want to take an indigestion tablet, cos they're always mint flavoured...

I used to like those Strawberry's and cream boiled sweets, little round things with alternating red and white swirls, can't for the life of me think what there called.
