Hi
I have got an overnight stay in Milnthorpe (South Lakes) and would like to do a 25-40km gravel ride. Happy to do some roads but wondering if anyone has any recommendations. The area to the South looks interesting.
Thanks

There’s not much in the way of bridleways unfortunately. Arnside Knott has one over it, there’s one over the back of Warton Crag, and another past Leighton Hall. Strava heatmaps will show you the unofficial routes?

Grab a train and head into the cartmel valley. Plenty to play at, or up Chapel how and Stephenson ground

Are you prepared to travel or do you want something right from the door?

Hi there,
Ideally, something from Milnthorpe.
I'm travelling from Sheffield to Whittingham and then up to Milnthorpe to stop over.
Was hoping to stick the bike in the car and set off from Milnthorpe late afternoon.
Thanks all.

So something like into the Lyth valley, up cartmel steps and onto Stephenson ground would work pretty well I suspect

@sanmarzano - Whittingham Hospital? There's a few routes round here, not particularly hilly though. Could head up to Longridge Fell if you're going to ride from Whittingham nd then drive to Milnthorpe afterwards. When are you coming?
