This guy is a genius. Also builds motorbikes from scratch!

That bike squeeks more than an unloved Orange Five.

I agree wholeheartedly that he's a genius, and my new hero, ever since I saw his approach to making camshafts for turning a 4 cylinder engine into a six cylinder engine.

He has promised more mountain bike content in the near future IIRC

Whether the shock squeeks or not. That guy is amazing. It would be interesting to see how one of his bikes with 29 inch wheels and modern geometry would perform.

Isn't someone supposed to be bringing that shock to the masses soon?

Your bike probably squeaks as well. It's just that it makes so many other noises you can't hear it.

A mild mannered genius making awesome stuff in a shed. You see features he's incorporated into those bikes and it makes you think "of course!".

I love the noise, reminds me of 80's rally turbo chatter 🙂

Favourite channel on YouTube. Love how everything he does seems Heath Robinson at first (bike parts cut out or machined ‘by eye’) but just look right. The sound of his IL4 LC engined H2 was pukka, I have a mate who’s handy at sticking extra pots on Yamaha strokers but millyard is next level.

I also love how he stamps his name on everything with wonky letter punches 😂

There was someone riding one of the bikes at Innerleithen today, same red one from the video, looked mad/cool

While he's clearly very clever I can't help but feel he thinks no one will notice he's using an Alfine if he doesn't mention it specifically.

He's no problems mentioning and advertising other brands but repeatedly avoids mentioning the internal gearbox by name.

Why mention it if they aren’t contributing, either with money or products? If he isn’t selling anything he’s making, I guess the YouTube channel is a way to monetise the stuff he won’t sell.

@tomhoward He spends far more time telling us how good the gearbox is than telling us how good the tyres are. Just seemed odd.

Great stuff. “pacific geometry” apparently too.
