iDieters, look away now (unless you're on your day off).

For me, milk, vanilla ice cream (usually cheap stuff, anything better is wasted), fruit of choice...currently banana, into the blender, whizz and bob's yer uncle. Luvverly.

Any secret ingredients out there?

Ice cubes, double espresso shot, flakes of vanilla ice cream, sugar, cold milk, double cream, stir.

That was a thirst quencher.

I view the banana as a staple... call it a foundation of a good milkshake if you will. To make a great milkshake.. berries of some form are required.

Some would say I aspire to a smoothy with the smorgasboard (god I love that word) of fruit that I've been known to add, but to me, in my humble opinion, as soon as you add a dairy product you are stepping into the realms of the milkshake.

I used to favour adding some form of organic yoghurt to provide texture, but really it is just a poor substitute for the aforementioned cream.

We use schmoo milkshakes in our cafe + cream + fruit + marshmallows + syrup topping of choice blended with ice. Flipping magic.

Instead of a capuccino in the morning in this heat I have an ice coffe made with a proper double espresso, ice, a good squeeze of condensed milk and about twice the amount of coffee of semi skimmed milk, all blended up. Fantastic but the coffee must be good.

Milk, ice cream and some Camp coffee syrup stuff, delicious. Oreo sounds nice though.

Liver, raw egg, dash of honey, gold top milk and some garlic.

A real milkshake for real men.

My version:
Cold brew 3 pints of double strength filter coffee for 12 hours. Stir in a tin of condensed milk and generous squirt of butterscotch syrup.Serve over crushed ice with 'aerosol cream'

Christ there's some horrendous concoctions being bandied about here! My favourite is pretty similar to the OP's - milk (has to be Jersey creamy gold top), double cream, white sugar, Mackies vanilla ice cream, touch of cinammon and big piles of bananas. If you get it in the fridge quick and consume within a day it doesn't go that unappealing shade of brown...
