I've been getting my arse kicked today by a headache (not a migraine, although I do get them).

I've had a few rounds of Migraleve and now have an insatiable hunger, which I think other STWers have reported as a headache side effect.

What's the best food for desperate times like this?

A mate reckoned salt & vinegar crisps helped his migraines.

Luckily I don't suffer with headaches of that magnitude any longer but, when I did I used to have a can of coke/pepsi then go lie face down on bed in a dark and ideally on the chilly side room.

With migraine, the hunger link is usually that low blood sugar can be a trigger. I was advised by the National Migraine Centre to drink something sugary like coke at the first sign of a migraine. If your headache has gone, I suppose it doesn't matter what you eat?
