Now, I've not used any of the current Lidl/Parkside power tools but I just love this mad thing

https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/p/diy/parkside-4-in-1-20v-cordless-multi-tool/p34288

It slices, it dices...

Anyway, more seriously they have some decent looking stuff coming up, you can get a charger and small battery for £20 and the tools start from £15, with a pretty nice looking plunge saw, a chainsaw on a stick, and very cheap impact driver. batteries are apparently almost the same as current Draper Stormforce 20Vs except with a different plastic tab that can be easily modified for compatibility

I’ve already got a power tool with 2 batteries, so don’t want to buy into a new setup. Whats the chance my battery will fit a Lidl tool...?

Fairly slim tbh, manufacturers put a fair amount effort into making this a pain in the arse.

There’s a market there for an adapter to fit these batteries to more pricey kit. 😁

Have a few Parkside tools and they’re generally very good quality. Like the look of this 🙂

Yup. Took a battery into Lidl to check - similar enough to think, hmm maybe... but different enough that it was a no chance.

I have a fair amount of Dewalt kit but also have a parkside sliding chop saw thing which has had a serious amount of graft and has been spot on, i also bought a 85mm circular saw with 2 batteries and a charger for not much much more than 40 quid which also has been no bother. I think Parkside stuff is great value for money for the average DIY bod and even people like me who do big DIY stuff.

I just bought a load of their cordless tools. Seem absolute fine for DIY stuff. Even bought the compressor/inflator combo, and that inflator thing is mega powerful. That'll stop the kids going nuts while i pump the paddling pool up. Impact Driver seems good to.

Battery is apparently similar to Einhall and you can get battery adapters from ebay, but i'm not sure if it makes financial sense.

i was curious about who made them and had a google and I reckon it's these people https://www.wlpower.com/

Suprised someone isn't 3d printing them, should be quite simple, plastic body and a couple of bits of sheet steel to act as contacts...

No it's an occelating tool which basically vibrates a blade it's main advantage is it's great for getting into difficult to access places .

Not sure why I'd want one on the end of what is essentially a drill looks like an ergonomic nightmare. For most of the tools it can become
